Thailand’s tallest building is coming 200 celebrities and VIPs gathered in Bangkok on April 20 for the lavish opening of the Ocean 1 Tower sales office in Bangkok. The new office is in the prestigious President Tower Arcade in Ploenchit Road, close to Gaysorn Plaza and the Intercontinental Hotel. It will handle sales inquiries from locals and tourists for the spectacular 91 storey condo tower being built at Jomtien beach. When completed the tower will be the tallest building in Thailand and one of the tallest residential buildings in the entire world.
Project developer Siam Best Enterprises Company Ltd. at the same event launched a 10 minutes promotional movie on the project, featuring well known Thai model and actress Sonia Couling. She takes viewers on a virtual tour of Ocean 1 featuring key aspects such as condo configurations and interior design, as well as the ultra chic shops and restaurants which are integral to the concept. Bruno Pingel, chief executive officer and managing director of Siam Best, explained that the Bangkok sales office had been opened in response to inquiries from Thais living in Bangkok and from expats and tourists from all over the world. They would be able to speak directly to marketing and sales personnel familiar with all aspects of the project, he added. Ocean 1 Tower will feature 611 condominiums, from studios and to spacious three bedroom apartments, together with one penthouse and two duplex penthouses. There will be a 3,000 sqm shopping plaza with 40 high-end shops on two levels. The shopping centre will house a variety of coffee shops and speciality restaurants. A high speed elevator will take visitors to the 91st floor and its observation gallery and restaurant. The Tower itself will have 14 high speed elevators servicing the various residential zones. The exterior of Ocean 1, using the ocean as a design inspiration, incorporates different finishes which will catch and reflect light throughout the day, giving overall a shimmering effect similar to that of water. Common area features include the internal three storey waterfall in the lobby, water droplet entrance canopy and landscaping wave forms. The long list of luxurious features includes a health spa, three swimming pools overlooking the ocean, gymnasium, jogging track and tropical gardens and salas. Mr Pingel commented that there was strong interest from both Thai and foreigner buyers and investors. “Not only is this exciting project a unique and quality venture, but it offers a fabulous lifestyle at the very top end of the luxury condo market.” The Bangkok sales office is at Unit L40, Lobby Floor, President Tower Arcade, 973 Ploenchit Road.
